Editorial Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

We are committed to accurate, practical, and honest information about traditional wet shaving. This page explains how we work.

How articles are created

Articles are written from hands-on experience and research, drawing on barbering best practice and, for any skin-health claims, authoritative sources such as the American Academy of Dermatology and the NHS.

Expert review

Articles are reviewed by a master barber before publication, to confirm the technique is sound and safe to follow at home. Our current reviewer is Marcus Webb.

Independence

We do not accept payment to feature any product, and our content is written to inform, not to sell. If we ever add product recommendations, any commercial relationship will be disclosed clearly.

Keeping content current

We review and update articles as our understanding improves. Each article shows its publication date and, where applicable, when it was last updated or reviewed.
